Winter Barbecue 2015 21 December 2015

A remarkably mild day for mid-December, with temperatures about 12-13°C, no rain and not much wind. All images are cc-by-sa.

Chris made pork ribs in an experimental marinade, which turned out to be not only delicious but pleasingly combustible. (Only a small fire, soon extinguished.)

The Aberdeen Angus Steak Burgers did their best to join in the fun. (What's the difference between a beefburger and a steak burger? Price, I think.)

Famous Goatburgers in progress.

Some people stop barbecueing when it gets dark. But sunset was at about four o'clock, and that wouldn't have done at all.

Just before we brought the beer in.

It should be noted that some of us fled the garden well before Roger and went indoors for the comfy chairs and dessert. There was only so much space around the fire itself and a short step away meant a great deal of difference to the temperature.

Indeed. And if Peter had been here he'd probably have been submerging himself in the pool to cool off.

We had a good time even if I confused title with content (Keith Roberts Furies has Wasps in it but is not called Wasp) which may be a sign of my oncoming senility or not as the case may be as I can no longer differentiate between Roberts and Priest. Great goat burgers too.
