Shooting in Loudwater 29 December 2017

Also known as: why I always carry a camera with me.

I was passing the local post office when I spotted the police tape (I didn't think British forces used it, but so it goes). It seems that on Christmas Eve there was a shooting by the War Memorial. The local paper has a little more information, but it looks as though nobody's even prepared to say definitively yet that a shot was fired.

But this was the occasion for getting this photograph, which felt like a suitably grim coda to a grim year.

As usual, this is cc-by-sa: you can use it freely and don't have to pay me, as long as you credit me, and as long as anything you do with it is also released under a similar licence.

In a high tech Space Marshalls campaign that Bob Dowling ran, the police tape was spray on. You could spray it in fresh air, I think vacuum, on surfaces, anything, and it would form the tape.
