Neighbourly Games 8 April 16 April 2024

More gaming with some nearby friends.

This time it was just Flash Point: Fire Rescue, on the hotel board. We started with CAFS, Captain, Hazmat and Veteran; Captain later shifted to Paramedic.

Tibble was treated, but was lost to an explosion.

This can be a very swingy board, and tonight it was.

Eventually we ran out of damage cubes. Five rescues, but it felt like hard work all through the game.

It deserves to burn down - it's a rubbish hotel. Covers for 12 in the restaurant but only three single rooms. I reckon if there was a Cluedo-FlashPoint mashup it would turn out to be the manager, in the office with the insurance policy.

Maybe it's one of those hotels that's mostly a restaurant, but for tax reasons it's advantageous to be a hotel so they have the rooms upstairs as well.

Actually, a fire investigation phase as part of the end game might be quite fun.

I've seen proposals for an "Arsonist" expansion, with the most experienced player running around making things worse.

Do the other players get to hose him down with a soda siphon if they catch him?

Definitely sounds like something for Flash Point: Legacy.
