I don't mind the daisies, though I didn't really want a
monoculture. Since there's a barbecue coming up, I also thought it

So I got up early this morning, since scything is best when plants are
wet, and after five minutes – five minutes, I should point out, of
mild exercise and the utterly lovely smell of really fresh-cut
plants:

I don't think I want to use a lawn-mower ever again. Anyone want to
buy a lawn-mower?
