Summer barbecue, on the day before the solstice. Images follow:

everything; some photos are by Owen Smith.
The first grease fire of the day was not in one of the pans, as
usual, but on the "Chinese style pork sausages" – which didn't really
need to be cooked so much as warmed anyway. They caught most
enthusiastically.
The forecast had changed on Friday from "no chance of rain" to "90%
chance of rain" and back to 50% or so. So the tent was up.
Beer was in the gazebo (of which the roof is perishing, but that will
be fixed soon).
I made a double-sized batch of goatburgers this time, and I think they
all ended up getting eaten.
Coffee and walnut cake was probably much appreciated by those who like
coffee and walnut.
Do not place body parts between tongs and barbecue.
Sausage containment failure.
A guest's shirt. No, it's even more obscure than that.
Bath Ales!
Elderly Mort Subite (from before the Scottish and Newcastle takeover
in 2000). Note sediment in bottle.
