Danna ga Nani o Itteiruka Wakaranai Ken series 2 13 December 2015

2015, 13 episodes: AniDB.

Also known as I Can't Understand What My Husband Is Saying. Continuation of the slice of life comedy dealing with the daily routine of a busy office lady and her otaku husband.

While the first series was surprisingly enjoyable, this one felt much more by-the-numbers. Most of the episodes set up a situation in the pre-title teaser, get distracted, drift towards a conclusion, then notice that this is only a five-minute show in total and it's time for the end credits. The first ten episodes are very bitty, and I gather they should chronologically fit between episodes of the original series; the last three finally start to develop the change that was mentioned in the final episode of the original, but although they're good as far as they go it's left too late to have any real impact.

As before you'll need to be reasonably familiar with modern Japanese culture to have any clue as to what's going on; I'm quite certain I'm missing a lot.

It's not terrible and it's good to see more of Hajime and Kaoru, but this isn't worth going to any trouble to seek out.
