St Albans is a bit far away for me to visit regularly, but their
boardgames club was having a big Saturday event so I went along.

everything.
This took place at the Town Hall in the middle of St Albans, and
probably drew about 50-60 people.

The inevitable
Codenames,
with a mixture of novices and old boardgame hands having fun.

I got in a game of
Colt Express,
and did slightly better than last time, but I still think there are
important aspects to the gameplay that I'm not getting.

I didn't play, but observed
Risk: Doctor Who.
Can't go wrong with plastic Daleks, right?

I corrupted some of the regulars with a few hands of
Red 7. I think I'm
finally getting the hang of how to explain it: with lots of cards
laid down on the table to serve as examples.

I only hung around for a few hours, but this is a friendly bunch and
if they do this again I'll be going back.
