Happy Second Blogday to Me 09 January 2016

On 9 January 2014 I made my first post to this blog.

I have continued to produce at least one blog post per day. Word count is now over half a million, which is three or four decent-sized modern novels. Wibble?

I felt no need to rewrite the blog engine from scratch again in the last year, but I did add Amazon associate linking (total gain to me so far: £1.40, not even from one of the items I've listed here) and an index of all films reviewed.

I will continue to try to post something every day until I get bored with it. I'm not bored yet. In particular I'm still enjoying the discipline of writing about everything I read/watch, and I hope I'm developing as a reviewer (though I wouldn't claim to be a critic).

Things more or less planned for the next year: an index of occasions on which boardgames were mentioned (rather than having a tag per game). Or maybe a hierarchical tag system, so that there might be a boardgames/firefly tag rather than just "boardgames" at the top level? But then should books/science fiction be separate from films/science fiction, or is "science fiction" a more useful category overall? Ah, decisions. I could've been a librarian but I didn't have the Latin…

Requests welcome.
