2015 modern fantasy, manga adaptation, 13 episodes:
AniDB.
Hibiki, who can see and talk with ghosts, goes to high school.
Not much really happens in this series; it's more of the
slice-of-life school, with little plot development and lots of
niceness. Character design is a step above the generic, but just one,
and the animation is passable, but mostly this is a character piece
which starts with one-dimensional stereotypes (the spooky girl, the
girl scared of ghosts, the tough girl, etc.) and develops them into
something like actual people. (Though others remain stereotypes, like
the guy who thinks he's in a harem anime because he's hanging around
with the girls and mostly exists to say something inappropriate and
then get comedically beaten up, or the spirit cat which tries to look
up the girls' skirts and mostly exists ditto.) Hibiki is essentially
the Weird Kid who Gets Accepted.
That's about all there is to it, really; Hibiki gradually becomes
friends with several of her classmates, and learns more about her
past, and then the show ends. Not worth making any effort to track
down, but a distinctly agreeable change of pace from large-scale
fighting or drama.
