Second time at the Marlow Donkey and the fifth monthly meeting of this
Meetup-based
boardgames group.
We had enough people that the heavy Euro fans could go off to
play Rococo while
the other table stayed with lighter stuff – starting off with a couple
of rounds of Tsuro,
which I haven't otherwise had out this year.
I won the first game, when the other three players indulged in mutual
annihilation, but lost the second.

Then we moved on to
Captain Sonar,
with four players; we played the turn-based version to get the hang of
it, and pretty much did, though there are points I need to emphasise
more in my rules explanation.

Finally
Grifters, where
I thought I was doing reasonably well until I discovered that one of
the other players had me comprehensively beaten. Oh well. But the
players got the hang of it quickly and seemed to enjoy it.

We finished just about as Rococo was ending.
There are likely to be extra mid-month sessions, though I doubt I'll
make them; I'm too likely to be committed elsewhere.
