This
Meetup-based
boardgames group continues to meet at the Marlow Donkey.
I was fairly wiped after UK Games Expo, so didn't expect to get
anywhere with
Ricochet Robots…
but ended up winning three out of the available 17. At some point I
may well make myself a set of this, redesigning it to remove the
dependency on colour vision; I think four different robot shapes, and
each marker with a robot shape and a number, might be the best bet.
I'd picked up
Mafia de Cuba
in an Expo trade and we gave this a go next - six is a bare minimum,
but it seemed to work, and the presentation is lovely (especially the
"diamonds").
We went on to
Augustus, at
which I came last again; I think I'm beginning to come up with a
plausible strategy but I'll have to play it more to find out.
I was Expo-ed out so left at this point. We've moved the secondary
meeting to third Monday rather than third Wednesday, so I should be
getting to more of these.
