Back to this small quarterly boardgames convention in Watford. With images;

everything.
The day began with
Grifters, which
rather to my surprise I managed to win. (Having a double Femme Fatale
for much of the game didn't hurt.)

We played an as-yet-unnamed game about making up film titles and
pitches (which has a good core but needs work to be excellent).

And we rolled into lunch with
Mysterium,
which was a loss but people seemed to have a good time losing.

After lunch, we had a four-player game of my fully-loaded
Colt Express,
which was so involving I completely failed to take any pictures. (I'm
still not using the Time Travel Car, as I think that brings in one
complication too many for new players.) I got three out of four goals
as the Marshal, which I reckon isn't bad for my second play.
We had a quick game of
Hex Hex/Hex Hex Next,
which was suitably silly. I remember this game being quite popular
when it came out, but that was just before the current boardgame
renaissance got started, and these days I hardly ever see it
mentioned.

I finished off the day with some two-player
Splendor (I lost):

and a few hands of
Red 7 (I won).
