This
Meetup-based
boardgames group continues to meet at the Marlow Donkey. This time it
was a fairly small session; people seem to be in a pre-Christmas sort
of mode.
We started with
For Sale, which makes
little sense in thematic terms but is quite fun once one gets the hang
of what's going on.

We tried
Magic Maze,
though as at Thirsty Meeples last month I fear I enjoyed it rather
more than the other players did. (And as usual I didn't get round to
photographing it; it's quite an intense experience.)
I got Quantum
out, one I haven't played for far too long, but which I still found
great fun. It's perversely un-thematic (your spaceships are dice, and
at times you re-roll them), and yet the theme leaks through anyway.

We ended the evening with
Augustus,
at which I did terribly as usual, though I think I'm starting to see
why.
