This Meetup-based
boardgames group continues to meet at the Marlow Donkey.
Down to six players this time, and we started with
Mysterium
(using the new "provocation" cards in place of the objects). Ended up
with one one-card psychic, one two-card and three three-cards, and
they all got the final choice right: having the archaeologist and the
"pile of treasure" clue card helped a lot.
We went on with
Pirate 21,
still one of those never-going-to-be-famous games (available in the
UK, for under £10 according to
boardgameprices,
but not via Amazon) that's nonetheless a great filler between more
serious affairs. (Must remember to bring the metal coins when I next
put this in the bag, though.)
We finished with
Hey, That's My Fish!,
which has entirely too much hunching over the table and giving serious
thought to one's move when one considers it's a game with plastic penguins.
