On the 200th anniversary of the birth of Marx, there was fire and meat
and beer.
These bags of charcoal smelled a bit more petrochemical than
usual, so I decided to waste the energy from the main burn, or rather
let it warm up the entire barbecue cavity, and cook purely over the
embers. It seemed to work rather well; there was heat all the way to
the front of the cooking area, rather than having it concentrated at
the back. Having a couple of burger racks helped a lot here, and I
suspect I'll get another sausage rack too.
Some of the beer was rather lively.
Many cookies!
Fire after sunset.
