I bought some Crocs last year, because I like padded shoes when I'm
spending several days at a trade show with hard floors. They're very
comfortable, but they don't seem to last.
I bought them in September and wore them for Essen, which was
great. But in January, the retaining pin tore through the body of the shoe.

To give credit to the company, they replaced them, and I wore them for
UK Games Expo. But a couple of days ago it happened again - in exactly
the same way.
Evidently there's a systematic fault somewhere in the gestalt of (the
shoe's design, the shape of my feet, and the way I wear them). But two
failures in less than a year is rather too many; it's a shame, because
they are extremely comfortable, but I don't regard shoes as consumable
items at quite this rate.
