This Meetup-based
boardgames group continues to meet at the Marlow Donkey.
Having a group of six cut down the options slightly, but we still
had plenty of games available. We began with
Startups, which
it turns out we played slightly wrongly at Expo – but interestingly it
still stood up well.
Arguable classic
Elfenland next, in
which you're trying to visit twenty cities via paths through various
terrain types and modes of transport. I think perhaps there's one
level of indirection too many (do thing A to be able to do thing B
which gets you thing C), but it's still a pleasing puzzle.
Finally,
Augustus,
in which I thought I was having my worst game yet… but turned out to
be about half-way up the pack. Hmm.
