This Meetup-based
boardgames group continues to meet at the Marlow Donkey.
We had a couple of new players, some language assistants from
France and Germany working at a local school, and we started with
6 Nimmt since
they'd met it before.
With the ice broken, it was time for several games of
The Resistance:
the straight game, then adding Commander and Assassin, and finally
with False Commander and Bodyguard. These were very effective games,
and I think everyone had a good time.
Finally a game of
Codenames –
well, technically two games, but the first one ended in the first turn and I
can't really count it. It was slanted in our favour but that won't
stop me from claiming the win. This is one that's grown on me; I
wasn't a fan in my first few plays, but while I'm still not planning
to buy it I'll enjoy it when it's offered.
