This Meetup-based
boardgames group continues to meet at the Marlow Donkey. (Pictures

Eight of us this time, and we started with a couple of rounds of
Deception: Murder in Hong Kong:
one captured murderer, one escape. It's a little tricky at this size,
and we did a lot of walking around the table (and attracting curious
attention from other pub-goers).
Then
The Captain is Dead,
with two of the eight players acting as a single joint entity; we had
a rocky start, and the shields were one step away from destruction at
one point, but by aggressive comms and teleporter use we pulled
through. This doesn't perhaps have as much long-term variability as
I'd like – there are tactics for each character that are pretty much
always a good thing – but it's still far too long since I played it
and I had a good time.
