This Meetup-based
boardgames group continues to meet at the Marlow Donkey.
We started with
Skull, a good short
game while waiting for people to turn up. It seems very shallow, until
you realise how much you have to play the other players. (And I won.)
Since there were just four of us this time, we went on
Ashes: Rise of the Phoenixborn,
which isn't really well suited to the pub setting – but it seemed to
work. (Even if I did get knocked out first. I like playing it, but I
seem to be quite bad at it. I should probably try some different
Phoenixborn and find a style that suits me.)
