This Meetup-based
boardgames group continues to meet at the Marlow Donkey.
Back up to five players, and a game of Flash Point: Fire
Rescue:
with two new players, and two who hadn't played for a while, I used
the base game's first map, though still with the Tragic Events cards.
We made a good start on fire suppression with some effective deck-gun
use, and started to spread out a bit, but never needed to get into the
full zone defence. There were plenty of role changes (especially with
the event card that makes them free if done at that moment), so the
new players managed to get a feel for what was available.
Just as time was about to be rung, I realised that we didn't have to
wait for the player who was sitting on the ambulance, and could simply
pick up our last two victims from where they'd been left on ambulance
spaces.
Seven rescued, none dead, and a reasonably clean board. This one went
well.
