The 1 Player Guild is a group of solo game players, communicating
through BoardGameGeek. This was the fourth get-together for the UK
contingent; not enough people made it to justify renting the library
again, so we met at my place. With images;

everything.
We started with
Rallyman, a
short course first and then a longer one. My great performance in my
first ever game a year ago looks increasingly like a fluke. Ah well.

On to Just One,
still on my list to think about buying at some point though this one
didn't go as well as last time.

Scythe, in which
I didn't come last! Gosh. Though I don't think it'll ever be a
favourite game of mine.

We were up to seven at this point, and split briefly: one side played
Puerto Rico

while I won a three-player game of
Xenon
Profiteer
(still a game I love).

We went on to
Burgle
Bros., where
we came close to a win.

But because it was taking a while, the other group started
Santo Domingo

and (being down one player) we played
Onitama while
they finished.

We got back together for
Flamme
Rouge,
standard track with a breakaway start.

Down to four again, we played Coldwater
Crown,
the revelation of the day for me – it's definitely getting into the
heavyish Euro style of play, but it manages to keep at least some
theme, and (amazingly for me) I actually won. This is one I may now
buy at some point, which surprises me.

Three players and
Tobago, which is
definitely on my "buy at some point" list, though I haven't yet
found it cheaply enough for my taste.

And to finish off, another game I played last Airecon,
Ex Libris,
where I think I was trying something clever but it went horribly wrong.

Another lovely day with excellent people. The next one's in January.
