This Meetup-based
boardgames group continues to meet at the Marlow Donkey.
We started with Between Two
Cities,
one of my Essen purchases (second-hand in the auction). I had to
refresh my memory on just how the drafting worked, but this came out
very nicely, holding up very well with six players. Memo to self:
design and 3d-print some tile holders for this, particularly in a
layout that can keep them separated in the box. (There are extra tiles
for the Capitals expansion that we weren't using…)

Definitely one to play some more; without the skewed setup it could be
a heads-down drafting game, but with it there's an unexpected
social dimension.

Tsuro next, using
the stones my wife found while walking the dog (the rest of the game
is gorgeous, but the plastic player pieces are just dreary).

And finally
Elfenland, or at
least the first half of Elfenland, as we ran out of time to finish. I
had a lousy first round and a pretty good second one, so it could
certainly have gone worse.
