I went over to a friend's place on Christmas Eve for some short games
First was Lovelace &
Babbage,
still "Mental Arithmetic the Boardgame" but none the worse for that
(there are some people I just wouldn't suggest it to because I know
they wouldn't enjoy it). Got the explanation a bit better this time,
but I must write up a rules summary.
Then Sagrada,
which as it turned out was the last play of it I needed for the 10×10.
I enjoyed this one, and my solo plays seem to have improved my game.
An interesting set of goals, though: no duplicate numbers in column,
diagonally-adjacent matching colours, and pairs of 1s and 2s… which
seem as though they shouldn't clash, but all too often they did.
