One huge advantage of living outside London is that my local pub does
not need to be hugely crowded at all times to stay in business. So
when it reopened on Saturday I went along.
Things are pretty much as usual, except with table service
throughout, and a one-way flow from the front door into the beer
garden. A window next to the garden has been opened as a serving
hatch.
The point of the exercise.
Not too crowded; it remains to be seen how things will change but
they're doing a sensible job for the moment. One part-time staff
member has died of COVID-19 and the landlord was in hospital for a
month or so, so they have personal reason to take it seriously.
