This Meetup-based
boardgames group remains on-line for the moment; we got together on
Jitsi and then played some games on BoardGameArena.
With four players, we started with
Libertalia,
new to most of us. The system of making sure everyone gets the same
cards is an interesting one, though I think the key here is to be
aware of just which cards are in play and when they'll take effect
(for example, quite a few have an immediate benefit and then a penalty
in the end-of-expedition scoring phase, so you try to play them and
then get rid of them before the end of the expedition).
Then on to Potion
Explosion,
where the user interface is distinctly fiddly (limited because the
platform doesn't support dragging, but the order in which you do
things is also a little odd) but the game is still good fun.
