Mostly people continue to wear masks.
90% of the customers in Lidl, all of them in Morrison's (though
only one Morrison's staff member and none in Lidl, even though the
places are air-conditioned).
One slightly concerning note: outside Lidl the sign says "please wear
a mask", outside Morrison's it's "please be nice to people who have
reasons not to wear masks". There's really quite a simple term for
people who aren't wearing masks: not welcome in our shop, and you
don't even need emergency legislation to back that up. Yes, I'm sorry
if you have a problem that means you can't do it (rather than just
being a Facebook user soaking in the fallout of the American death
cult), but we still don't want your exhaled virus. We offer a home
delivery service. If that's too expensive, perhaps you have friends?
Neighbours? Meals on Wheels? A special plague-transfer hour at the
start of the shopping day?
But no, apparently they want your money more than they value their
other customers.
