This Meetup-based
boardgames group remains on-line for the moment; as usual we got
together on Jitsi and then played some games online.
First a couple of games of
Draftosaurus:
drafting dinosaurs into one's park (apparently that's normal enough
not to be worthy of notice now, after the flood of
dinosaur-park-themed games over the last few years). With five players
only the very first hand would come round again. This has a
surprisingly roll-and-write feel to it, I think perhaps because of all
the constraints on placement; and it would be much more fun with the
actual dinosaur meeples. Still, enjoyable and I'd happily play it
again.
On to
Welcome To…,
which I've only played once before (late in an evening at Essen 2018).
This time I felt I was slightly more on top of things, and did a
reasonable job.
Also at the end of each turn BGA shows you where everyone else played,
and puts a hard hat over their user picture.
Finally, The
Crew,
which gets played last because once we start playing it we tend to
keep going till the end of the evening. Definitely more challenging
with five, but that just means we get to play it more…
