Second vaccine dose achieved!
Same place, though none of the same people. I'd have thought
they'd have got the hang of the procedure by now, but they were still
confused when I offered them a booking number (the thing we are told
we MUST BRING) rather than a name.
I did at least get a batch record card, like everyone else I've
asked about it, rather than the horrible scrappy bit of paper I got
last time. Even the reception person looked pretty unimpressed by
that.
This time I actually felt the stuff going in, which I usually don't,
and there was an absorbent pad for the injection site. Then I got the
blood clot warning; I like to think that if I had "a headache which
lasted four days and was unresponsive to painkillers" I'd probably try
to take it to a medic anyway, but at least now I know that if I say
those words I might get seen in less than a week. (I am also
instructed to look out for calf pain and breathlessness.)
As before, absolutely no negative effects, and I can't even find the
injection site by prodding my arm.
And we now have some individually-wrapped sweets sitting on the table,
which were meant for the jabbers but got left behind. Bother.
