This Meetup-based
boardgames group remains on-line for the moment, though we may try the
pub next time depending on numbers. For now we got together on Jitsi
and then played some games on BGA, as usual.
Haiclue is
a word game a little like Dixit, but without the twisty scoring: if
you correctly get which of four target words someone's clue points to,
you and they each get a point. I think this may generate some perverse
incentives but it's short and enjoyable.
I met Small
Islands
thanks to playing it for More Games Than
Time; and it's now on BGA too, and this was
my first multiplayer game of it. I really like this game; it's a
little fiddly to work out what's going on at first, but once things
start to make sense it comes together very nicely. Less thematic and
more complex than my usual fare, but a direction worth exploring.
Finally
Draftosaurus,
which always gives me the impression of having hidden depths but I
don't think it really does.
