We went out scouting for a pub for the local Meetup
group, and found
one: and it's a McMullen house, which means the AK mild is a regular
thing.
But having got there it would have been rude not to play some
games, so we did, starting with Ganz Schön
Clever:
the pens were failing as pens do, but I think we all felt this is one
we've left out of regular play for too long. (Even if it is at its
best with two.)

Then Forbidden
Island,
using an alternative island setup with a chokepoint – which might have
been quite bad, but as it turned out all four treasure spots could be
found at range 1 or 2 from the exit, so we gave them priority and let
the rest go. I don't suppose this is anyone's favourite game these
days but it's still enjoyable to revisit occasionally.

And finally a round of
Red7; I still don't
love the special card powers, but in the basic game it's light and
great fun.
