ZatuCon is a small boardgaming event run by Zatu
Games for whom I write occasional blog
posts. It's open to
the public as well as to Zatu bloggers.
This year it was held in the Bedford Arms, a pub in Balham.
There was a small Zatu shop, as well as several demo tables for new
games.
I played some Rallyman:
DIRT (which
one of my fellow bloggers had specifically requested).
Then on to Century: Spice
Road,
always good fun and as usual I did much worse than I thought I was
doing.
Then an error: Dune:
Imperium.
Not in the game itself, which is an enjoyable deckbuilder with lots
of interlocking progress tracks; but the only part of the pub with a
table big enough for it was out in the front bar, and after we'd
committed to the game it got VERY LOUD.
I was already fairly tired after the Tabletop Scotland weekend, so I
left at that point - the shop and demos were winding down anyway,
though some of the hardcore boardgamers were staying much later.
