Yes, they probably can; there's a fair bit more energy here, with
a jockey shot after he was accused of throwing a race, and plenty of
organised crime in the background. Notable also for Donna Reed's third
film role, even if the whole thing falls apart into a brawl at the
end.
This one came out two weeks before the attack on Pearl Harbor. It's
never remarkable, but it gets its job done.
