More gaming with nearby friends.
We started with
Xylotar, which
is certainly in the trick-taking rotation now (along with Nokosu
Dice, Shamans and Yokai Septet, and potentially some other Essen
acquisitions I haven't tried yet.)

Then, after an abortive attempt at Star Wars Villainous (none of us
was familiar enough with basic Villainous to get a grasp of it
quickly), we went on to Bears vs
Babies.
This has very much the same feel as Exploding Kittens, from that era
when trendy people suddenly realised that simple boardgames could make
money, and indeed, it has two of the three designers. It's very
random: in theory you're assembling monsters, while armies of babies
gradually increase in strength. but the only difference between body
part cards of the same time is what you can connect to then, and in
general a great deal depends on the luck of the draw.

Very much like Exploding Kittens, in fact, there's barely a game
hereāas expected, really, but it's good to confirm it. Ah well.
