More gaming with nearby friends.
We began with
Pixies, a recent
Bombyx release by the designer of Faraway. Fairly simple rules,
drafting and card placement with a bit of hoping for the best. I
rather enjoyed it, though I want to play at least once more before I
buy it.
On to Xenon
Profiteer,
which I'd played at the weekend but was still in the mood for. This
one went very strangely; I snapped up two early pipelines but (perhaps
as a result) never managed to do much by way of upgrades, just the
Bid-and-Buy and the Three Bid Tokens ones (which admittedly are very
powerful). And in the end we had a three-way tie, first time I've seen
that happen.
