New to me, Histrio,
by Bruno Cathala and Christian Martinez. Mostly it's a matter of
trying not to pick the same of eight options as any other player,
which is harder than one might expect, but then there are various
fiddly constraints on scoring as well as special powers one can
acquire. I can't see it becoming a game I love and want to play all
the time, but I still had a good time.

Then
The Spill, in which we
did rather better than last time. The tower still feels like more of a
gimmick than a real randomiser, though it didn't seem very biased this
time; but it's worth bearing in mind, I think, that rescuing
contaminated animals is very much a backstop option, because the chance of
someone's being in position to do it between the contamination at the
start of the turn and their removal from the board at the end of the
turn is probably less than 25%.
