Firefly at home, April 2017 10 May 2017

A second evening Firefly session, again with a time limit though we didn't need it.

This time we did ship selection, then random setup and random story (should have been random setup before ship selection): Time's Not On Our Side, plus Wanted Men from the new Crime and Punishment expansion.

I started with Sash in the Walden, with a pile of Fanty & Mingo jobs and a crewman who could generate another Fugitive every time I did Makework. Alas, with fourteen fugitives on board and three active jobs I got Reavered two sectors out from the drop-off point that would have made me some actual money.

There was no way I was going to recover from that; I started heading back to Beaumonde with some idea of fixing things.

Then Nandi in the Artful Dodger managed to double-disgruntle herself and fire her entire crew… including two fat bounties, Zoe and Stitch. So I picked up the Silverhold Labor Contract, and collected on both of them, helped by a Fed Marshal bounty bonus and some bribery for ship movement.

I came in a surprisingly close second place ($9,300 against $11,300).

We all made mistakes, and C&P has definitely made crime much harder than it used to be; I'd actually vaguely planned to play honest, but it wasn't an option with that story card.
