Here are a few of my favourite pictures, taken on the recent trip to
Finland.

1/30 sec at f/5.6, with coaxial flash (which I still hate but
sometimes it's necessary). A grasshopper, or something like it, that
chose to stick itself to the ceiling of our hotel room. It was gone in
the morning.

1/1000 sec at f/6.3. While approaching the Elbtunnel in Hamburg, we
were suddenly reminded of just how close the docks are to the road.

1/500 sec at f/8.0. Crossing the Lillebæltsbro between the Jutland
peninsula and the island of Fyn.

1/160 sec at f/6.3. Church in Trönö, with an odd half-roof.

1/250 sec at f/7.1. Höga Kusten bridge, from the north side.

1/400 sec at f/7.1. Apartment building in Örnsköldsvik.

1/200 sec at f/7.1. Church in Kalix, with the bell tower separate from
the main building.

1/160 sec at f/6.9. The only picture here not taken with the GF1 -
this bird (I think a house sparrow) perched on the rail of the ferry
over to Suomenlinna within a couple of feet of me, and I was able to
slide the A1300 out of my pocket and get some zoomed-in shots. As I
was slowly reaching for the big camera, he flew away.

1/320 sec at f/5.1. Barnacle goose on Suomenlinna.

1/640 sec at f/5.6. On the ferry back from Suomenlinna, a sudden
tall ship (Svanhild).

1/8 sec at f/5.6. During a sudden thunderstorm in Helsinki.

1/100 sec at f/5.6. Post-thunderstorm skies at sunset.

1/1000 sec at f/5.6. Helsinki Cathedral as backdrop to the SkyWheel.

1/640 sec at f/5.6. Buildings on Valkosaari in Helsinki harbour.

1/250 sec at f/5.6. Sunset over the Baltic.

1/500 sec at f/6.3. Sudden hot air balloon over Lund, with birds.

1/160 sec at f/4.0. As the skies opened on the Autobahn. (Near
Bremen airport.)
